The VIP Festival Package includes tickets for both both of ÆPEX Fest 2022’s centerpiece performances, exclusive experiences with the festival’s featured artists and ÆPEX’s leadership team, and more!

The VIP Festival Package schedule includes:

June 1 - Festival-opening happy hour in downtown Ypsilanti with appearances by our featured artists prior to the festival’s first event at Ziggy’s (venue TBA, 5 PM)

June 2 - Mezzo-soprano Olivia Johnson solo recital of contemporary art song by BIPOC composers (First Presbyterian Church, 7:30 PM)

June 3 - Private pre-concert reception and artist Q&A featuring soloists Olivia Johnson and Cameron Leach, ÆPEX Music Director Kevin Fitzgerald, and ÆPEX Executive Director Garrett Schumann (Ypsi Freighthouse, 6:30 PM)

June 3 - Large ensemble concert featuring ÆPEX Music Director Kevin Fitzgerald, percussionist Cameron Leach, mezzo-soprano Olivia Johnson, and a group of ÆPEX artists in a program of thrilling contemporary works (Ypsi Freighthouse, 7 PM)

June 4 - Festival-closing happy hour with appearances by our featured artists in Ypsilanti’s Depot Town neighbor prior to the festival’s closing event (venue TBA, 5 PM)

VIP Package holders have access to reserve seating at the performances on June 2 & 3.

COVID-19 Protocols:

In accordance with the Washtenaw County Health Department's current recommendations, in alignment with our peer cultural organizations in southeast Michigan, and out of respect for our audience’s, musicians’, and staff’s wellbeing, we will enforce the following health and safety protocols at all ticketed ÆPEX Fest events - there will be NO EXCEPTIONS, so please prepare appropriately.

• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination OR Negative PCR Test:

All attendees must show proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours of the given performance in order to gain admission to these performances.

• KN95/N95 masks are required indoors at all times:

Tight-fitting masks that cover the mouth and nose must be worn while inside performance spaces and for the entirety of the performance by all audience members. Please put on your mask before entering the venue. Free KN95 will be available for audience members who need them.
